Being one of the leading business families of Ahmednagar, Narendra Firodia and his wife frequently support the underprivileged in the fields of education, medical, sports, and cultural activities through their family trust.
As part of their mission, the family helps improve healthcare infrastructure, improve education, rehabilitate abandoned women and children, preserve Indian art and culture. There is a regular program of training camps for destitute women and the building of orphanages where education is prioritized. The trust offers regular interval education and vocational training to make sure the villagers have a sustainable income.
Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation
The foundation also supports sports people who have immense
potential but are unable to follow their dreams because
of financial constraints.
Approximately 600 people receive regular medical assistance monthly and over 6000 people have received one-time medical aid and have a second chance at life.
Since its inception, the foundation has nurtured education in the lives of more than 3000 individuals, beginning with primary education and continuing up through higher education.
SFMF has supported more than 300 cultural events in the city, including Ahmednagar Mahakarandak and Vyaktichitra (All India Portrait Competition).
The foundation has given wings to more than 200 individual sportspersons. Some of the trailblazers supported by the foundation are Manu Atri, Summit Reddy (Badminton), Shardul Gagare , Shalmali Gagare (Chess), Bhagyashri Fand (Wrestling), Sankalp Thorat (Cycling) and many more.
As well as supporting the above activities, the foundation supports over 350 other sports and recreational activities. Some of the foundation notable projects include the Nagar Rising Half Marathon and Ahmednagar Premier League(Cricket).
